Urgentem is the award-winning, independent provider of transparent carbon emission data and climate risk analytics to the finance industry. They enable sustainable investment for a Net Zero future.
We helped build the visual identity and guidelines as part of a larger internal rebranding process. Soon after rebranding, the business was acquired by ICE (Intercontinental Exchange) in July 2022. We were briefed to create a brand with purpose that reflects the businesses desire to make positive environmental, social and cultural change.
The identity is inspired by the graphic language of protest and activism applied through a financial lens. The large statements and fluro colour express the purpose driven nature and time sensitive targets of the business.
The outcome, an identity that captures their purpose, blending the financial world with the mission of climate activism. A system that demands attention from the financial world in a language they can accept. And ultimately creating a clear and desirable brand that helped with their acquisition.
